MeggaXP’s Blood Bash is coming BACK to the Commonwealth Commerce Center on February 11th, 2023 – with a special Film Festival BONUS NIGHT on Friday, February 10th!
Blood Bash 2023 will be our 6th annual International Horror Film Festival & Convention, and will feature horror films from all over the world! Last year, we had 2513 film submissions from 48 countries, of which we narrowed down to 60 films from 19 countries that actually screened at the show! The film festival shows an incredible amount of short films every year, and offers up three main prizes: Best In Show, Favorite Male Performance, and Favorite Female Performance!
But Blood Bash is WAY more than *just* a film festival! We also will have 40+ horror themed vendors in our vendor room selling anything horror related including prints, posters, shirts, paintings, one of a kind clothing and accessories, random oddities, and so much more! Still not convinced? Well then, perhaps you’ll be interested in some of the more unique things that we offer at Blood Bash. Things like FREE TO PLAY carnival games that go all day that are all HORROR THEMED. Things like “Feed Me Baby,” Blood Bottle Ring Toss, Our Horror Villain Shooting Gallery, and more! We also offer horror themed trivia challenges as well as video game challenges. Win tickets in ANY of these events and you will be entered in to win one of our GRAND PRIZE RAFFLES! All of our vendors generously donate items to our incredible prize baskets, and this year we will have THREE DIFFERENT prize drawing times. In the past we only did it at the end of the day, but this year we will be drawing prizes at 1:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 7:00 PM.
If dressing up is your thing, you can participate in our COSPLAY CONTEST and enter to win a trophy as well as CHAMPIONS PASSES to the next year’s show!
Or if you’d rather compete in our SCREAM QUEEN contest, you can give it your all and try to out scream everyone else and also win a trophy and free passes to next year!
Blood Bash has become somewhat of a hidden gem in the Jackson community, and the people that come to this show have a blast! We’re not the biggest or flashiest convention, that’s for sure – and we don’t bring in a ton of horror guests, but we DO offer UNIQUE things to do at our show, and in the end – we want our focus to be on the two most important things – THE VENDORS AND THE MOVIES. So please, come out and support the artists, crafters, authors, and filmmakers that help make this show truly special.
