Hero Run 5K & 10K 2023
Registration for the Hero Run is OPEN!
Calling all SUPERHEROES! The LifePlan Hero Run is back for 2023! The Hero Run will begin and end at Riverfront Park in Niles, MI. The race takes you through downtown Niles, through some of the historic neighborhoods in Niles and along the Riverwalk trail. All proceeds from the race go to help women, men, and families in Michiana.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in both races. Door prizes will also be given away at the end of the award ceremony, so stick around for the opportunity to win a prize from one of our fantastic local businesses.
There will also be a costume contest as part of this event. Anyone who chooses to dress as a superhero will be entered into this costume contest.
Packet Pick Up will be Thursday, April 20 from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm at LifePlan Niles, 527 E. Main St., or Saturday, April 22 beginning at 8:00 am at Riverfront Park.

Step into a galaxy far, far away as the Tangent Gallery again becomes an immersive recreation of the Mos Eisley Cantina!
It is a lawless time.
Crime syndicates, corporations, and bandits compete for resources –
spice, booze, hyperfuel, weapons, death sticks, harlotry and medicine.
The Empire is too incompetent to reign us in and too cruel to bother.
Corruption runs rampant, from the Senate to Imperial High Command, local checkpoints and everywhere in between.
Fascist tyranny breeds opportunity in the Outer Rim, and
greed can be a powerful ally.
While the local garrison has seized our theater,
officers can be bought and stormtroopers are outnumbered.
If the time comes, they may find it harder to hold than it was to take.
This is the underbelly, the spaceport hive where all the gangsters, thugs, trash, and scoundrels of the galaxy come to gamble, find work, and drink to oblivion when they can’t. Here you can bargain for whatever you desire, and business is booming.
Just watch your step, this place can be a little rough.

Fandom Fest of Southwest Michigan 2023
Fandom Fest is a library collaboration dedicated to bringing the fan convention experience to Southwest Michigan.
Wanna know the best part about it? Admission is completely FREE!
Our goal is to welcome fans of all genres and ages to join us for a day of adventure and fun.
We offer various activities, ranging from guest speakers and panels, video and tabletop games, cosplay contests, mini-hobby activities, and door prizes donated from local and national companies. Vendors will be on hand with a variety of merchandise for sale!
