The U-Con Gaming Convention is a gathering of gamers and companies from all over. You can meet new people and participate in many different events. We have events that are sure to pique the interest of the most avid gamer, as well as those new to the hobby. We offer a wide variety of role-playing events, as well as many board and war games. We also offer Live Action RPG’s and collectable card game tournaments and events. We are one of the largest gaming conventions in Michigan.
Aside from gaming, we have an exhibitors hall filled with a wide variety of exhibitors selling everything from swords to dice, shirts to games, and a number of other unique and interesting items. And what convention is complete without an auction? Of course we have one!

Central Action Role-Playing Society
We are a high-fantasy LARP (Live Action Role-Playing) group that is currently based in Southeast Michigan. You may already be familiar with tabletop role-playing games (RPGs) such as Dungeons and Dragons or White Wolf products. If you are, the difference between an RPG and a LARP is that RPGs consist of half a dozen or so players sitting around a kitchen table with dice and a single Game Master, whereas a LARP is a cross between an elaborate theatre production, live combat, and a hike in the woods. LARPs such as ours have costuming, boffer weapons, and dozens of players whose actions influence not only what you can accomplish but the course of an entire fantasy world. Play an armor-clad warrior, the wise sage, crafty rogue, or other fantasy based classes. Players may choose to play a human, dwarf, elf, and many other races that inhabit the world of Solaria. Fight vile beasts, collect clues to unlock mysteries, and use diplomacy to talk your way out of sticky situations. Haven LARP uses the Final Haven Rulebook. This is a medieval fantasy themed Live Action Role Playing (LARP) that takes place over the course of the weekend. Come join us thwarting demons, defending the town, or crafting schemes and looting your fallen foes!
Returning players use promo code ONLINE for $5.00 off the event price! During the LARP weekend, we will be playing from 8:00 pm Friday night until 12:00 pm on Sunday. During this time you will be playing your character – including times you are sleeping and eating. Rustic cabins with electricity are available to players, but they will need to bring their own bed linens. Rustic cabins are not heated so a space heater and/or electric blankets are recommended during the winter months. Food is not provided, but often other players will provide Saturday Breakfast & Dinner for a small fee (usually $10 for the weekend). Refrigerator, microwave, oven and stove are available if you wish to supply and cook your own meals. If you are not familiar with medieval fantasy LARPS, you should wear an appropriate costume (or come as close as you can – even if it’s just a tunic and sweat pants). Weapons must be foam boffer style or latex created or sold for the purposes of LARP. Weapons need to be approved by the staff before they may be used.
Late arrivals and early departures are permitted. We hope you’ll join us, make new friends and have an AWESOME weekend!
