Gamers for Giving 2024

Gamers for Giving is a streaming marathon and LAN party that raises money in support of Gamers Outreach programs. Ticket sales and donations provide entertainment devices to hospitalized children.

NVGO 3 – The Northview Video Game Olympics 2023

NVGO, (Northview Video Game Olympics), is a fundraiser for the Northview Band Boosters. The event will consist of a variety of tournaments for different video games.

  • Participants are allowed to enter up to two different tournaments.
  • Each participant is guraranteed at least two matches AND an NVGO shirt. Once registered, you will receive an email with a survey to indicate shirt size. If you neglect to do this or you will not receive a shirt.
  • The cost per person is $15meaning Rocket League 2v2 is $30 per team, Overwatch 3v3 is $45 per team, and Fortnite 2v2 is $30 per team. 
  • There are no hidden processing fees, so the price you see is the price you pay.

The event will take place all day on Saturday, June 17 in the Northview High School, Max Colley Jr. Performing Arts Center, with finals for each tournament projected on the big screen for the audience to see, (due to technical issues, the 2v2 and 3v3 tournaments may or may or may not be projected on the big screen). Admission for audience members is free. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.

We ask that all participants bring their own controller for games on Switch, (Smash and Mario Kart). A controller will be provided for the Tecmo Super Bowl tournament.

Fortnite, Rocket League, and Overwatch will have a selection of consoles available for use, however, most players will likely want to bring in their own setups for these games. 1st – 3rd place finishers will be honored in a medal ceremony at the end of their tournament. All participants will receive an official NVGO shirt.

Hero Run 5K & 10K 2023

Registration for the Hero Run is OPEN!
Calling all SUPERHEROES! The LifePlan Hero Run is back for 2023! The Hero Run will begin and end at Riverfront Park in Niles, MI. The race takes you through downtown Niles, through some of the historic neighborhoods in Niles and along the Riverwalk trail. All proceeds from the race go to help women, men, and families in Michiana.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in both races. Door prizes will also be given away at the end of the award ceremony, so stick around for the opportunity to win a prize from one of our fantastic local businesses.
There will also be a costume contest as part of this event. Anyone who chooses to dress as a superhero will be entered into this costume contest.
Packet Pick Up will be Thursday, April 20 from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm at LifePlan Niles, 527 E. Main St., or Saturday, April 22 beginning at 8:00 am at Riverfront Park.

Flint Superhero 5K Race & 1K Fun Run 2023

Your registration for the Superhero 5k or 1k Fun Run goes directly to help child survivors of human trafficking, abuse, and neglect by providing them with hope, help, and healing. Voices for Children Advocacy Center serves the Flint Area, and Genesee, and Shiawassee Counties. All funds raised will benefit children who are survivors of human trafficking, abuse, or neglect.

The Dragon’s À Faire: Medieval Masquerade

18+

Our lively medieval performers and entertainers will charm guests as they enjoy the ambiance and elegance of the historic Saginaw Club. Admission includes hearty appetizers and two complimentary drink tickets.

This magical jubilee will feature dancers, troubadour music, bards, comics, games, hand henna, poets, a surprise main stage event, and other live entertainment. Guests are encouraged to dress in the spirit of the event and take part in a costume contest.

Proceeds will support the SASA.Foundation, which was created in 2010 to enhance and elevate learning opportunities for students of the Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy.

NVGO 2 – The Northview Video Game Olympics

NVGO, (Northview Video Game Olympics), is a fundraiser for the Northview Band Boosters. The event will consist of a variety of tournaments for different video games. Participants are allowed to enter up to two different tournaments. Each participant is a cost of $10, meaning Rocket League 2v2 is $20 per team, Overwatch 3v3 is $30 per team, and Fortnite 2v2 is $20 per team.

The event will take place over two days during the evening hours of Thursday April 21 and Friday April 22. Preliminary rounds will take place in the Northview High School Cafeteria on Thursday, and the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals will take place on Friday in the auditorium, projected on the big screen for the audience to see, (due to technical issues, the 2v2 and 3v3 tournaments may or may not be projected on the big screen). Admission for audience members is free on Thursday. Friday’s main events in the auditorium will be a suggested $3 donation for attendees wanting to watch.
