GVSU Laker Con 2025

Laker Con is a FREE three-day comics convention held at the Mary Idema Pew Library at GVSU to celebrate comics literacy and the scholarly merits of sequential storytelling (comics books, graphic novels, animation, etc.) as well as exalting the entertainment arts.
Event programming will include:
• Panels and Presentations celebrating and exploring comics
• Artist Market with creations and wonderment for sale
• Activities and programs to make zines and comics for kids and adults
• Comics inspired/themed movies and animation
• Portfolio reviews and the business of comics
• Cosplay contest with prizes

Wicked Bizarre MI 2025

Wicked Bizarre is a nonprofit Horror/Halloween/oddities themed Craft & Vendor Show located in Belleville MI.

Come check out over 200+ vendors that have wide ranging talents in all things inspired from Horror/Halloween/oddities and everything in between. We also have food trucks, charity raffles, costume characters, entertainment, something for everyone! Come spend the day with us.
Admission to Wicked Bizarre is free and open to the public from 10 am to 5 pm. We are located at Wayne County Fairgrounds, 10871 Quirk Rd. Belleville MI 48111. (5.00 cash parking)

KANAR September 2025

KANAR is a live-action role playing game, which includes interactive role playing, boffer combat, and ongoing storytelling. Standard events are held one weekend a month from March through November, except for June when we hold a “weeklong” 10-day event. In addition, there are mechanics-off Role Play Only Events, four times a year, and a winter Feast, often held in February. This listing is for a standard event.

A Festival of Oddities 2025

In the 1940s and 50s, there were so many Bigfoot sightings in the Charlotte area, a section of town became known as “Gorilla Swamp.” Are there really sasquatch in Charlotte? And more importantly, if we throw them a party, will they come to it?
Come celebrate a very cryptidy YEAR SEVEN of The FOO with us! Presented by Scream Queen Productions and The Courthouse Square Association, admission to the grounds is free, and admission to the museum is just $5/person. Visit the Macabre Marketplace with over 100 peddlers of the peculiar, grab lunch on Food Truck Row, adopt a new familiar in our Creature Cavern, visit the Living Library to meet your favorite true crime and horror authors, climb inside a giant spaceship, tour the haunted Courthouse Square Museum and peruse exclusive exhibits, and so much more! Saturday hours will be 11am-6pm, Sunday hours will be 11am-4pm.
