Well, we said that if our first FRIDAY NIGHT MEGGA was a success, then we might try it again….so we are!
Our first Friday Night Megga was a small, but fun affair. The people who came thoroughly enjoyed it and asked if we were going to do it again. Well, we had enough fun and enough people show up that we are definitely going to do it again….

When?
Friday Night Megga – LEVEL 2 will be hosted on Friday, May 3rd, 2024 – from 7:00 PM until 11:59 PM.

What is this?
Well, MeggaXP the convention has been dormant for quite some time, but we are slowly building back. Basically, think of this is as a super event for the MeggaXP community that will combine board games, video games, card games, karaoke, trivia, bar/arcade night, and a whole bunch of other stuff. We have a huge list of video games that will be available for people to play, a ton of board games that will be accessible (or bring your own), bring your own Magic / Yu-Gi-Oh / Pokemon decks, whatever! Anything goes here, folks!

SPECIAL EVENTS FOR LEVEL 2:
9:00 PM – Bar Trivia (teams of up to 3 members)
10:00 PM – Karaoke CAN start (if people want to sing, if not, they can sing whenever they want)

Trivia, you say?
We did an online trivia contest last time, this time we are going to do be doing traditional bar style trivia. That’s right, folks, the old pen and paper, and TEAMS….no first second or third place prizes this time, ONLY the top TEAM will win a prize! Note – teams can be no bigger than 3 people….sorry.

Booze? Food? We will be bringing back some of the best MeggaXP adult drink specials for this event, and we just may bring back the MEGGA MEAL from yesteryear – – – it’s a straight up throwback, people!

Cover? – We are working on reviving MeggaXP the convention, and these nights are designed to help fund that resurrection, so yes, there is a cover. The cover is $10 for the entire event and that gets you access to anything and everything happening inside of the MeggaXP Zone

Costumes are not mandatory, but highly encouraged!

Step into a galaxy far, far away as the Tangent Gallery again becomes an immersive recreation of the Mos Eisley Cantina!

It is a lawless time.

Crime syndicates, corporations, and bandits compete for resources –
spice, booze, hyperfuel, weapons, death sticks, harlotry and medicine.

The Empire is too incompetent to reign us in and too cruel to bother.
Corruption runs rampant, from the Senate to Imperial High Command, local checkpoints and everywhere in between.

Fascist tyranny breeds opportunity in the Outer Rim, and
greed can be a powerful ally.

While the local garrison has seized our theater,
officers can be bought and stormtroopers are outnumbered.
If the time comes, they may find it harder to hold than it was to take.

This is the underbelly, the spaceport hive where all the gangsters, thugs, trash, and scoundrels of the galaxy come to gamble, find work, and drink to oblivion when they can’t. Here you can bargain for whatever you desire, and business is booming.

Just watch your step, this place can be a little rough.

Niles Renaissance Faire 2024

Good morrow, friends, and welcome to the Niles Renaissance Faire!

Leave the modern world behind and take a step back in time to a place where things were more simple. The renaissance era is a time of rebirth after the pesky middle ages. As you walk through our gates be prepared to have your breath taken away as you enter a celebration of the medieval times. As you wander the land you will meet merchants selling their wares and bards will lull you with their musical talents. You may be heckled by our town Fool, or be mesmerized by our mercenaries. You might want to keep an eye open for the jailer who, for a price, will lock up a member of your party! Come prepared to leave with sore sides from laughing, a full stomach and an experience you will never forget.

Join us at the Niles Renaissance Faire, the 3rd weekend in May. Merriment, side-splitting laughter, children’s scavenger hunt and the marketplace are sure to ensure your day is full of delight!

KANAR May 2024

KANAR is a live-action role playing game, which includes interactive role playing, boffer combat, and ongoing storytelling. Standard events are held one weekend a month from March through November, except for June when we hold a “weeklong” 10-day event. In addition, there are mechanics-off Role Play Only Events, four times a year, and a winter Feast, often held in February. This listing is for a standard event.

WASTE is a free form player driven airsoft event where the game is driven based on the players actions. Making allies and enemies, doing trade among players, joining or creating factions etc…
Scenario:
The settlement of Nukamonga needs your help! The area has been invaded by wasteland raiders and other factions fighting over resources and control of Junkton and the surrounding area. Choose a side or survive on your own.
NO OUTSIDE AMMO, ALL AMMO PROVIDED BY EVENT STAFF, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING YOUR OWN TO USE! * All ammo is controlled and distributed by the commonwealth merchant guild. -There will be several different bb weights available in game. 0.25, 0.32 and 0.40 *If players wish to bring and use their preferred bb brand and weight, they can turn them into the staff where they will be marked with your name and available through the commonwealth merchant.
NO OUTSIDE BOTTLE CAPS, ALL BOTTLE CAPS PROVIDED BY EVENT STAFF, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING YOUR OWN TO USE! ** Bottle caps are the currency of the Waste. They are used to buy in game ammo and goods, use to make deals and obtain info or gamble in the casino with.
** players may bring and donate Bottle caps or Ammo to the event and will receive bonus starter caps or ammo.

8pm: Game end
Sunday May 5th
10:00am Game start
4:00pm : Game Rap Up ( Player reports, Bottle cap & Loot tally, Clean up)
