MuskeCon 2023

Attention all cosplayers, toy collectors, comic fans, and art enthusiasts! MuskeCon is back for its fifth year, and this time we’re taking over the VanDyk Mortgage Convention Center in downtown Muskegon! This new, bigger location will allow us to bring you even more of the things you love about MuskeCon: handmade goods, panels, demos, and, of course, cosplay galore!

This year’s event is sure to be our biggest and best yet, so don’t miss out on all the fun. Tickets are only $5, and kids 12 and under get in for free. We can’t wait to see you there!

Shiver Me Timbers 2023

Ahoy, Me Hearties! Batten down them hatches, it’s the time of year for our Shiver Me Timbers Annual Pirate Event! Due to the rotten scurvy called COVID and it’s potential exposure, we strongly encourage masks.

As such, we have deliberated and debated and signed articles this year with the Macedonian Cultural Center located at 43133 Ryan Road in Sterling Heights, MI. They have two rooms available that should give us plenty of space to spread out and social distance indoors.
We will have vendors in Hall B for the day event and Hall A will house the evening party. We be open from 11am to 5pm fer yer shoppin pleasure. The evening party will be from 6 pm until midnight.

Thar be shoppin, fun, dancing, & music…all in one day! So weigh anchor, hoist the mizzen, and splice the main brace! Come and join us for a bit of fun. This be an open event so ye may invite anyone ta join us.

Kids under 15 are always free and should stay no later than 9pm. Military always free! This is a garbed event. A pirate be a pirate no matter luv.

The return of the wildly popular silent auction and raffle will take place for sure.
Ta be clear – Raffle, & the recognition of the new ships/captains of the fleet, as well as entertainment will take place in the evening.
So then lets party like pirates eh??!!

So come join the Brethren for this open to the public and all ages event with vendors, raffle, silent auction, music, dancing and so much more.

Oh and don’t forget Voodoo Elixirs will be selling their wonderful Rootjack, Steamjack, and Warpjack as well.

At the evening event, we welcome our favorite DJ – John Bommarito as well as, the bands IRONWOOD and CELTIC ISLES for an uplifting celebration!

Vendors set up at 9am
Open to Public – 11am until midnight
Silent auction closes at 5pm promptly
Vendors are shutting down at 6pm
Doors to Pub event open around the same time

Entrance fee is $10.00 per person for just the day event or $10 per person for just the evening or $15.00 for both..Kids 15 and under are always free when accompanied by an adult. Military always free!

A limited number of VIP tickets will be available, which include a post-show photo op with Mr. Shatner.

Return of the Midland Mall Comic Con 2023

Come out to the The Return of the Midland Mall Comic Con and Dinosaurs.
MARCH 4, 10 TO 6pm.
(6 TO 8pm) is vendor time to walk around check other vendors if you want.
MARCH 5, 10 TO 5pm.
Due to it being at the Mall, we cannot offically charge admission. What we would to do is kindly ask for a $5 donation for each person over 10. We kindly ask you share some of your normal admission fee, to The Finest, a GI Joe costume team that comes out and brings props and characters for you to page with, as they raise money for service animals for Veterans.. As I am a retired Veteran, that is special to me. Also please share with the League of Enchantment, a group of heroes who go to hospitals to visit sick kids and send care packages to kids in need.
ALSO SHARE WITH THE AWESOME VENDORS…. WHO MAKE THESE SHOWS AMAZING…
Cosplay contest both days.
Prizes Awarded by age group
10 and under, 11 to 17, 18 and up.
Tons of artists, authors, toys, props, comics, superheroes, GI Joe characters and props to pose in, star wars characters, and more running around.. D&D matches are back
Nerf rifle range ran by Spartan, not a stormtrooper. haha
Dino dig by Creations by Generations. As well as some cool items to buy.
Astro snacks will be there.
Midland Recyclers will be there making crafts with the kids
Laser combat provided my Mid Michigan Laser Combat, (MMLC)
Ghostbusters, USS Septarian, 501st, LOE, The Finest, and more will be here
Face painting and Balloon creatures
Some panels will be available.
Photo opportunities everywhere.
Live broadcasting of the show by Banter & Babble,
Wrestlers walking around from the IWE.
Lots of new vendors this show… If you liked the last show, this one is much BIGGER and BETTER!!!

It’s showtime! Based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film, this hilarious musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes. With an irreverent book, an astonishing set, and a score that’s out of this Netherworld, Beetlejuice is “SCREAMINGLY GOOD FUN!” (Variety). And under its uproarious surface (six feet under, to be exact), it’s a remarkably touching show about family, love, and making the most of every Day-O!

Contains strong language, mature references, and a lot of the crazy, inappropriate stuff you would expect from a deranged demon.

Though Amber Diceless Role-Playing has been old enough to drink for over ten years now (it has been thirty-four years since Erick Wujcik first showed ADRP), it is still going strong.

Ambercon is a broad-spectrum diceless gaming and indie gaming convention! We’ve got superheroes, musketeers, characters from various fictional settings we won’t name here due to fear of lawsuits, SOE operatives, cowboys, and, of course, Amber-based games… you name it, we’ll game it!
