Cadillac Comic Con 2017 Mini Review

April 8th, 2017 marked my return to the Cadillac Comic Con, formally known as the Cadillac Pop Culture Con. I missed out on the event in 2016 due to conflicting schedules. 2017 served as a reboot for the event.  Along with a new name and new location (Wexford Civic Arena), the event changed from a 2 day paid event to a 1 day free event. This event focused more on the comic artists and vendors. A gaming area was available and cosplay was encouraged. Gone were the media guests and panels from my previous visit. While guests and panels do not make or break a convention, their absence leaves a hole at an event when it comes to things to do.  I will mention that I do miss the Villain Cafe from my visit in 2015. It was a unique feature that I have not seen anywhere else and I hope it comes back in future iterations of this convention. If you live in the Cadillac area, this is not a bad event to check out for free.
