It’s time for another Meet & Greet! Ditch the holiday shopping and join us at the Grand River Brewery at 7:00pm for drinks and conversation. Come dressed in your Steampunk finery if you have it. As always, outfits are NOT required!

Are you ready?

The third installment of Jackson’s premier Steampunk & Facial Hair fusion is coming on May 21st, 2016! This years event will be bigger and hairier than ever! Steampunk, facial hair, tobacco, brewing, and various other vendors will be under the farmers market canopy outside of the Grand River Brewery and inside the special events room of the Brewery itself from 11am – 6pm! The Grand River Brewery patio will be open and serving all of their great beer, wine, and spirits. Live music from local artists will be featured on the patio throughout the day. Come on out and enjoy a fantastic day of great food, fantastic beer & local entertainment as you browse an eclectic selection of vendors selling all sorts of unique items.

After 6pm, the event moves a half a block down the street to the Michigan Theater of Jackson! Inside the theater you’ll be able to sample brews from various local breweries and vote for your favorite. Live music will be on the Michigan Theater stage mixed in among the finals of the Steampunk Costume contest and the various Facial Hair categories! All proceeds from this event will support the Theater Restoration Fund.

Gears, Beards, & Beers II

“Please join Capitol Steam and Jackson Beard & Moustache Club (Jackson BMC) at Grand River Brewery for Gears, Beards, & Beers II. Free event, No cover charge!

GBBII is an annual event where we come together in celebration of steampunk, facial hair, and of course beer. Vendors such as Off the Beaten Path Books (AKA the steampunk bookstore) from Farmington will be there as well. Anything goes my friends! Bring out the Airships because this is an event to remember.
*GBBII is a steampunk gathering. Costumes are encouraged but not mandatory.”
