The Cedar Springs Area Chamber of Commerce is planning our second annual Renaissance themed summer celebration the to kick off the summer. The celebration will be from 18 Mile South to Morley Park in downtown Cedar Springs. It will be the second weekend of June!

Our 2015 Cedar Springs Renaissance Faire has a twist of make believe to it as well as time period stretching. We have chosen Robin Hood for this year’s theme. This is a great time to dress up as your favorite Renaissance characters, Robin Hood (& characters form Robin Hood) King Arthur, wizards, Gypsies, Woodland Elves, Fairies, etc…. This is a family event so kids of all ages can participate (adults can be kids too). On Friday June 12th we will have an outdoor movie in the park along with food and other entertainment. Saturday June 13th the down town businesses of Cedar Springs will be having sidewalk sales along main street from 9 am to 3 pm. Starting around 12 pm we will have a Royal Sidewalk Parade starting at the corner of Main Street and 18 Mile Road at the north end of town and it will venture south just past 17 Mile Road to Morley Park (which has been dubbed Morleyshire for the event). Vendors will be open for business at Morley Park from 12 pm to 8 pm on Saturday the 13th. Entertainment will start at 12:15 pm mostly in Morley Park. This year’s current list of performers include Steel Lotus, Nadira-Rua, Bell Book and Canto, Eliza Gypsy Enchantress, MERCs, Mermaids of the Great lakes, Meditation with Diana Kangas, Robin the bard, and others in the works! We have a Royal dinner scheduled for 6 pm on Saturday 13th. Sunday June 14th we will start the day out with Meditation with Diana Kangas at 11 am. Then the vendors open up at 12 pm and entertainment starts at 12:15 pm and lasts until 6 pm.
