Blood Bash was a small horror themed convention held in Jackson, Michigan. Created by the folks behind MEGGAXP, it was a scaled down version of their pop culture flag show. Since horror was the main theme, most of the vendors/artists sold items that matched the aesthetic. Cuddly Creaturez sold creepy dolls. FXAttics Studios sold custom made Halloween masks. I enjoyed their mask based on the Critters movie. Sugar Coated by Kristin created cookies based on the recent IT movie. The macabre scratchboard art of (the very talented) Heather Schilling was available to purchase.
Blood Bash had interesting attractions. There was a gaming area held in a dark alley-like hallway with no lights. Retro games like Friday the 13th and Castlevania were available to play. Throughout the day, numerous horror movies were screening. The movie Ruin Me, which was shot in Michigan, premiered at Blood Bash. Although I was unable to attend, a burlesque show was held in the evening.
Overall, I had a good time at Blood Bash. If you would like to see photos from the event, feel free to check out the gallery below. If you attended the event, what were your thoughts?
