December Mixtape Theme: Black Metal VGM Covers

Black metal is not the first genre that comes to mind when I think of Legend of Zelda or video game covers. Harjawaldar nailed the whole vibe and aesthetic of old school black metal throughout this cover. Tremolo picking, blast beats, double bass kit drums, a hint of bass, and symphonic keys are excellent. It doesn’t dive into the cheesy “trve kvlt” territory. Even the addition of raw low-fi vocals actually work. This song is so good that I would love if Harjawaldar would record a whole album of black metal VGM covers.
