This week’s track is my all time favorite cover of a Super Mario song.

By far the best Super Mario cover I’ve ever heard. The Descendants of Erdrick blend prog metal with synth masterfully in this tribute to Super Mario RPG. This medley combines Beware the Forest’s Mushrooms, Hello Happy Kingdom, and Bowser’s Castle themes(Super Mario RPG) with the Overworld, Underworld, and Castle themes (Super Mario Bros). I got goose bumps the first time I heard the The Bowser’s Castle section. It starts off with lead solo tapping mixed with chiptunes and then it transitions into a wailing guitar. It gave off that hellish vibe of flames and lava from that level of the game. Shout out to Amanda Lepre for this medley arrangement.
