Pedal Punk & Dinner – Steampunk Meetup

Let’s come together for an afternoon of amazing acrobatics and amusement with the performance of Cirque Mechanics: Pedal Punk. After the show, we can continue our evening with dinner and beers at Arcadia Brewing Company.

Steampunk attire is encouraged but not required as we share this day.

For information about the performance, check out their website:

Tickets for the 3:00 p.m. performance at Miller Auditorium in Kalamazoo are available at:
Ticket prices range from $25 to $45. If you would like to sit as a group, I suggest the $40 seats on the Grand Tier level, left side, rows 11 or 12.

We can meet in the Grand Tier lobby before the show and during intermission. We’ll gather on the end furthest from the parking ramp.

After the performance, we can regroup at Arcadia Brewing Company (https://www.facebook.com/arcadiakalamazoo/timeline) at 701 E Michigan Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI for dinner and craft beer.

If you cannot attend the performance, feel free to join us for dinner. We should be gathering there at about 6:00 p.m. Please respond as “going” even it it’s just for dinner so that I can get a count for reserving tables. Thanks!

Capitol Steam invades the Hackley & Hume Historic Sites and Cindy’s Birthday Tea Party

Come join Brian & Cindy Scull in a guided tour through the beautiful, Victorian Hackley & Hume homes http://www.lakeshoremuseum.org/project/hackley-hume/, the Fire Barn, and Depression Era Scolnik house, in historic downtown Muskegon. Engage in Parasol Dueling, or play croquet and other yard games out on the front lawn. There are other Victorian Era homes and buildings in the immediate area, so be sure to bring your cameras!
Steampunk or old timey attire is preferred but not mandatory.

After our tour we will have the option of having a group photo taken in front of the Muskegon Union Train Station http://www.detroit1701.org/Muskegon%20Union%20Station.html or proceeding down the block to the Muskegon Woman’s Club for Cindy’s Birthday Tea Party! http://www.muskegonwomansclub.org/historic-building.html Tea and homemade goodies will be provided.

Admission to the Historic Sites is $7 per person, or if we have 20 or more people we will receive the group rate of $5, while children under 12 are free. The Fire Barn, Scolnik House, and the Lakeshore Museum Center are free. Please e-mail Cindy at [email protected] if you will be attending, by September 27, 2015 so that the Historic sites can have sufficient staff on hand to guide us.
Cindy’s Birthday Tea Party is free, but because of the size of the Tea Room in the Woman’s Club will be limited to the first 40 people who RSVP to Cindy at [email protected] before September 27th. The Tea Party will begin at 3PM, and there will be Tea Dueling! So start practicing now.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dBrcwCQkg1Q
