April Ghoul’s Day!

Join the Flint Horror Collective for a celebration of dark and creepy books and the people that create them. This free event will feature authors who write the tales that will haunt your dreams and the stories that will chill your blood. Ah, but we’ll also have authors on hand who celebrate the younger side of weird as well so there will be something for the younger fans also.

The freaky fun will culminate in a Weird Lecture from famed paranormal lecturer John E.L. Tenney, who will be with us all day with his own books.

We hope you’ll come out and find the perfect book for a late winter chill.

The event will be held in the Ramsdell Community Room in the back of the Flint Farmer’s Market, near the art gallery. This is a free event and parking is available in the market’s lot.
There are LOTS of food options at the market (and in Downtown Flint) so worry not, your appetites need not suffer!

Scare you soon!

Gamers for Giving 2017

Gamers for Giving is a competitive gaming tournament and LAN party that helps generate resources for the initiatives of Gamers Outreach. Funds raised from the event help support Gamers Outreach charity initiatives, such as building portable gaming carts for children in hospitals.

Sponsors help us cover overhead costs associated with hosting the event so that attendee entry fees and donations can be used strictly for the programs of the charity.

Gamers for Giving 2016 will take place within the main arena of Eastern Michigan University’s Convocation Center during the weekend of April 1st and 2nd.

Gamers for Giving is a non-stop gaming marathon which will begin in the morning hours of Saturday, April 1st. The event will last until Sunday evening, April 2nd. Attendees are welcome to stay overnight in the venue, but for those interested, hotel information can be found in the Travel section.

Aside from fundraising, as gamers, it’s also our focus to host a great event for our supporters. Gamers for Giving provides a welcoming, friendly environment where gamers can come together to play their favorite video games in a clean, social, and competitive atmosphere. Simply by participating, gamers are making a positive impact in people’s lives through resources generated by the event.
