Haven LARP May 2022 Event
18+ to play. Must be “fully vaccinated” and present vaccination card. Your first event is FREE! Join us in the land of Solaria where you can be the savior of the town of New Haven! Play an armor-clad warrior, the wise sage, crafty rogue, or other fantasy based classes. Players may choose to play a human, dwarf, elf, and many other races that inhabit the world of Solaria. Fight vile beasts, collect clues to unlock mysteries, and use diplomacy to talk your way out of sticky situations. Haven LARP uses the Final Haven Rulebook. This is a medieval fantasy themed Live Action Role Playing (LARP) that takes place over the course of the weekend. Come join us thwarting demons, defending the town, or crafting schemes and looting your fallen foes!
Returning players use promo code ONLINE for $5.00 off the event price! During the LARP weekend, we will be playing from 8:00 pm Friday night until 12:00 pm on Sunday. During this time you will be playing your character – including times you are sleeping and eating. Rustic cabins with electricity are available to players, but they will need to bring their own bed linens. Rustic cabins are not heated so a space heater and/or electric blankets are recommended during the winter months. Food is not provided, but often other players will provide Saturday Breakfast & Dinner for a small fee (usually $10 for the weekend). Refrigerator, microwave, oven and stove are available if you wish to supply and cook your own meals. If you are not familiar with medieval fantasy LARPS, you should wear an appropriate costume (or come as close as you can – even if it’s just a tunic and sweat pants). Weapons must be foam boffer style or latex created or sold for the purposes of LARP. Weapons need to be approved by the staff before they may be used.
Late arrivals and early departures are permitted. We hope you’ll join us, make new friends and have an AWESOME weekend!

Friday the 13th at Deranged Haunt: Halfway to Halloween
For the first time ever Deranged Haunt opens for Halfway to Halloween! This time fully themed to our infamous campsite, Camp Zika! Purchase your tickets now and come prepared as we take in new “campers”! Avoid machete wielding maniacs, crazed counselors and keep an eye out for Bigfoot as you wind through the dark haunted forest on the scariest night of the year! Keep your eyes peeled as creatures lurk around every corner for our special event! Box office is open from 8:30pm -11:30pm the night of the event, with the attraction opening when the sky goes dark!

SPACE DIVE’s first all ages event, in partnership with Vault Of Midnight comics!
Saturday May 7th is Free Comic Book Day, so swing by Vault Of Midnight Detroit for your comic fix, then bring the family next door to our wretched hive of scum and villainy.
Take a tour of the Mos Eisley Cantina, with all the sights and sounds of a galactic spaceport! Virgin cocktails, Star Wars costume contest, nerf battles, and more!
Costumes are not mandatory, but highly encouraged!
Kids enter free, adults $5

NVGO 2 – The Northview Video Game Olympics
NVGO, (Northview Video Game Olympics), is a fundraiser for the Northview Band Boosters. The event will consist of a variety of tournaments for different video games. Participants are allowed to enter up to two different tournaments. Each participant is a cost of $10, meaning Rocket League 2v2 is $20 per team, Overwatch 3v3 is $30 per team, and Fortnite 2v2 is $20 per team.
The event will take place over two days during the evening hours of Thursday April 21 and Friday April 22. Preliminary rounds will take place in the Northview High School Cafeteria on Thursday, and the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals will take place on Friday in the auditorium, projected on the big screen for the audience to see, (due to technical issues, the 2v2 and 3v3 tournaments may or may not be projected on the big screen). Admission for audience members is free on Thursday. Friday’s main events in the auditorium will be a suggested $3 donation for attendees wanting to watch.
We ask that all participants bring their own controller for games on Switch, (Smash and Mario Kart). A controller will be provided for the Tecmo Super Bowl tournament.
Fortnite, Rocket League, and Overwatch will have a selection of consoles available for use, however, most players will likely want to bring in their own setups for these games. April Steampunk Meetup at FBC 2022
It is time once again to get together for some Steampunk fun at the Farmington Brewing Company for an afternoon of good friends and good libations, all with a Steampunk twist. As always Steampunk garb is suggested but never required. Please note that it will be on a Sunday afternoon this month.
