BlackRock Medieval Fest 2016

The BlackRock Medieval Fest is a dramatic recreation of a Medieval village at festival time. It is a Medieval styled theme park, a 5-­‐stage performance venue, a 30+ acre interactive/environmental theatre, an arts and crafts market, a food court with pubs, all rolled into one non-­‐stop, day-­‐long, adventure! We open the gates at 10am and run through 6pm on Saturdays & Sundays. Come join us for jousting, live steel combat, live entertainment, live music, fresh, hot food and cold beer Lots of vendors to shop from with a wide variety of things to enjoy! Admission is only $10, and children 12 & under are free! We can’t wait to see you there! Huzzah!!

Cedar Springs Renaissance Faire 2016

2016 will be our 3 rd Annual Cedar Springs Renaissance Faire held the second weekend in June. Hosted by the Cedar Springs Area Chamber of Commerce (CSACOC). Friday June 10th will be the start of the 3 day event with a Royal Cast Meet and Great at 6 pm, food in the Morley Park, and an outdoor movie (just before dark). Saturday June 11th will start out with down town sidewalk sales, a sidewalk parade form 18 Mile Road south to Morley Park, vendors and entertainers from 12 pm to 6 pm, and a Royal Dinner and Entertainment in Morley Park from 6 pm to 8 pm. Sunday the 12th 12 pm to 6 pm we will have vendors and entertainment in Morley Park.

Steampunks for Greater Lansing Food Bank

It’s another Capitol Steam benefit party for Greater Lansing Food Bank. Let’s welcome the spirit of St Paddy’s on March 12 as we allow our Steampunk identity to Explore the Northern Realm…a land steeped with Scottish and Irish traditions and culture. Dress in your normal steampunk and/or old timey garb or break out your kilts, plaid, or tweed and dress to fit the Northern Realm Aesthetic. Enjoy an atmosphere of great drinks and good friends.
• Admission will be two cans of food (non perishables) minimum or $5. All proceeds will go to Greater Lansing Food Bank.
• Steampunk, Pirate, Ren Faire, and traditional garb (particularly kilts) suggested but not mandatory.
• Live music will be featured from various local performers dedicated to this amazing cause, including David Schneider, David Gander, Bart Moore,Scott Smith, Chris Russell and more TBA. You’re very own Van Helsteam will MC the evening of entertainment with a special guest performance by the one and only Mistress Temperance Lovecraft.

Grand Valley Renaissance Festival 2015

The longest running completely student-run Renaissance Festival in the country! The Grand Valley Renaissance Festival aims to provide good fun in a family atmosphere. This is a free event held in conjunction with Grand Valley State University’s Family Weekend, with music, comedy, and live steel combat, featuring performers from all around the midwest.
