The annual Autism Hero Walk hosts over 6000 attendees at the Detroit Zoo to come together in celebration of and to advocate for their loved ones affected by autism. The free event begins with an inspirational opening ceremony followed by a 1-mile walk and post-event activities, including an autism resource fair with over 50 vendors.

Spinning with superheroes! Come dressed up as your favorite superhero or villain and prepare to jam with JAMMIN’ DJs. We will be snapping photos of costume entries, spinning the prize wheel and dancing the night away. Detroit Festival of Books (aka: Detroit Bookfest) will take place at Eastern Market Shed 3 in Detroit. FREE entry! Bookfest has been morphing into a signature event for the region and will feature 200 vendors selling BOOKS (ie: used, rare, antiquarian, unusual, ephemera, authors). There will also be vinyl records, comic books, creative arts, vintage board games and more! Food, beer and funk music!
