Welcome friends to April Ghoul’s Day, the Flint Horror Collective’s celebration of horror and its authors.
Join us as we welcome writers from around Mid-Michigan to talk about their books and writing projects and to sell you their wares.
This is a celebration not only of the written word but of storytelling in general and as such we’ll be presenting our Two Sentence Story Contest, which will welcome participants to pen their own original two sentence story to read out to the public for a chance at glory and prizes.
This is an ALL AGES event and will be a wonderful way to welcome horror back to town after a long, cold winter.
Event is FREE to attend.
The Flint Horror Collective welcomes you back to the Monster Marketplace Join us for a free day of horror with vendors galore bringing you all the scares and gore. The Marketplace is a casual day for the whole family to stop in, shop a little, snack a little, and return for a show from the Lords of October after the event ends. The Monster Marketplace is absolutely free to attend.
Ladies and Gentleman, the Flint Horror Collective wants to invite you to a different sort of art show for Flint.
An art show that takes you beyond the veil, into the dark night beyond, and into the arms of Death itself.
Brought to you by the generous sponsorship of The Mainsail Collective, ARTE DELLA MORTE will feature local and regional artists displaying works that embrace the darker side of life and which will surely leave you feeling as if a ghoul has danced on your grave.
Light snacks and wine will be available.
This art show is for adults only.
One of the Flint areas favorite family fun events is back! We have an interesting course, a great venue, and the event will be bigger and better than ever! Every finisher will receive a custom finishers medal. The 5K Run and 5K Walk are timed events with age-group awards. The family friendly 1K Family Fun Run will remain a non-competitive event. The Flint Superhero Run promises to provide fun for the entire family.
All proceeds will benefit the Voices for Children Advocacy Center, which is dedicated to serving the child victims and families of child abuse in Genesee County and enhancing the lives of all children through treatment, education and by increasing community awareness
We encourage you to dress as your favorite superhero. Dress up or not, we look forward to seeing you there.
Slightly new name (we used to be the ComiXcon), but the same, if not more. FUN!! A smaller scaled version of a typical “Comic Convention”, comics, art, artists, books, writers, vendors, droids, cosplayers and more, with a distinctively local focus. Meet people who work and create in comics and genre films that live right here locally. Hope to see you there!
Don’t know what to do for the week? Well, check out what’s going on for this weekend.
