Michigan State University Comics Forum 2017

The MSU Comics Forum is an event that focuses on and discusses comics as a medium. Historical comics were on display from the decades of rich history. Plus, it wouldn’t be a comic event without an artist alley. Get a glimpse into this event with these photos.

Michigan Nordic Fire Festival 2018

Time for the 3rd Annual Michigan Nordic Fire Festival! Ol’ Pete Wylde becomes Petar Wildsen, the Viking Meadmaster of the Fire Fest Mead Hall and the Vikings of the Great Lakes. Last year we had 9 different meads on hand. Shall we shoot for an even dozen? We’ll see…

This festival is becoming quite the Viking trading center and competition during a time that there’s nothing to do, BUT the Vikings ALWAYS have something to do: Gold and silver to trade, competitions to be won, a feast to eat, and mead to drink!! Please spread the news far and wide by sharing this event. Plan on staying in a cheap hotel (*cough* travelocity.com*cough*) or camp Viking style (if they’ll let you), BUT plan on staying for all the festivities. Last year they even had a wild game feast! It’s a no-holds-barred event when the Vikings come out to play… and winter is coming!

Blood Bash ’18 – Horror Show!

The people have asked for it, and we have listened to them! Meggaxp is proud to be bringing BLOOD BASH back for Valentine’s Weekend, 2018! People who came to Blood Bash in 2017 had a BLAST, and we were flooded with emails and Facebook requests asking if we were going to do it again….well, turns out – we are!!!

Here’s what to look forward to this year:

Horror vendors, artists, and exhibitors – – – Once again we will feature a vendor room FILLED with vendors selling original horror art, old VHS movies, posters, horror themed candy, masks, and even more bizarre stuff.

Film festival – This year we are bringing several independent film producers to Blood Bash to show off their amazing work in our film room! Also, if you are interested in showing off YOUR OWN horror feature / short, please get ahold of us via Facebook!

Cosplay Contest – Just like last year, at the after-party, we will once again feature a cosplay contest for best male and best female cosplayers!

Scream Queen Contest – Last year’s Scream Queen contest was an awesome event, and this year we are going to see who, if anyone, can dethrone last year’s champion!

Burlesque Show – Yes, we know that we said we were going to have this last year, but our dancer had issues making it to the venue………………………………………..……………………....so………………this year we have a new team lined up, and they are incredible! More to be announced soon!

My Bloody Valentine Dinner / Dance – Last year our catered dinner was the PERFECT way to celebrate Valentine’s Day – and WHAT A DEAL IT WAS! We will once again be offering up gourmet meals for you / you and your significant other – – – – at a deal so good you’ll die for it!

Horror Gaming Exhibit – Back again this year will be your chance to see how well you can do at some classic and modern video games – such as Call of Duty : Zombies, Left 4 Dead, Castlevania, and more!
