Hero Nation Comic Con 2020

Ypsilanti’s own FREE Hero Nation Comic Con is back! And we’re on a mission to provide the ultimate community-centered, nerd and pop culture experience, while creating a safe space for marginalized communities (women, LGBTQ, low-income, etc.)

Bring the entire family on September 26, 2020 to the Parkridge Community Center and pick up free toys, comics, school supplies and more and celebrate the hero inside of you.

Monroe Pop Fest 2020

The 2020 Monroe Pop Fest ( formerly the Monroe Comic-Con ) will take place Saturday, September 19th (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) at the MB&T Expo Center.

The 8th Annual 1 day event will feature more than 70 creators, writers, illustrators and actors who will greet the fans, sign autographs, take pictures, and provide panels and Q & A discussions, while many super fans are dressed in their pop culture best. Additional costs may occur with some guests. A popular event is cosplay contest sponsored by Rob Miller Art where a mix of judges determine the best costume winners, presenting CASH prizes and gift packages.

A Festival of Oddities 2020

Scream Queen Productions and The Courthouse Square Association present: A FESTIVAL OF ODDITIES! This event will be a day-long celebration of all things weird and macabre in Michigan. The festival will run from 11am-7pm.

Admission to the grounds is free for all ages. On the lawn, you’ll find the majority of our vendors, food trucks, and special attractions. Shop with makers of creepy wares from across the state. Get your photo taken with the Lansing Ghostbusters and Ecto-1. Play vintage carnival games and stop by the kitten tent.

Inside the museum, you’ll find our Living Library, the Scream Queen Boutique, oddities from around the globe, special guests, and much more.

Following the festival, there will be a paranormal investigation of the Old Eaton County Courthouse from 8pm-10pm, hosted by Portal Paranormal Society.

We are the weirdos, mister! And now it’s time to show the world!

GrandCon 2020

GrandCon features tabletop gaming in all its forms, including the creators behind them. We provide an atmosphere that will allow gamers to mingle and appreciate their shared interests.

Come to play or chat with fellow enthusiasts in a community that understands your passions.  Find adventure with favorite role-playing game.  Meet the creators behind your favorite mainstream and independent games.  Check out unpublished games, maybe design a game, and sneak a peek at great things to come.

 

Kalamazoo Circus Maximus Toy Show Fall 2019

The Circus Maximus Toy Show is held twice a year in the Spring and Fall at the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds. Conveniently situated halfway between Detroit and Chicago, or Grand Rapids and South Bend, IN. Nearly 50,000 square feet of toys from over 200 vendors around the country will be here for you to explore. You will find your favorite childhood toys including but not limited to; Japanese pressed tin litho, cast iron banks, steel pedal cars, Smith Miller & Tonka trucks, old robots and science fiction items, battery operated toys, cap guns, western toys, and more. For the younger collectors, there is a lot to see from Disney, Star Trek, Star Wars, G I Joe, slot cars, movie, TV and sport memorabilia, and action figures of all kinds, You will also find antique pedal cars and tractors along with spare parts.

Early Buyers / Floor Rights:
$30.00 per person gets you
in the show Friday from 4 – 8 PM
and Saturday morning at 7 AM

Public Show Hours are:
Saturday, 9 AM to 2 PM
