Midwest Media Expo 2015

The sister convention to Youmacon. While Youmacon is an anime con, Midwest Media Expo is a popular convention that focuses on the many facets of geek and nerd culture. Are you into animation, comics, sci-fi, video games, table top gaming, role playing, cosplay, tv, film and the internet? Then, this is the convention for you. This year the Midwest Media Expo will host the World Cosplay Summit national finals! All in downtown Detroit at the GM Renaissance Center. Mark your calendars.

Grand Rapids Toy & Comic Expo

On March 28th, one day only, vendors will gather together and provide many hard to find and wonderfully displayable collectables worth bragging about to your friends. Gather everyone you know for this one since it will be a doozy!

Special Guest: DC Comics artist, Uko Smith (The Art of Uko Smith), will be at the expo all day!

Motor City Furry Con 2015

Motor City Furry Con is a spring convention run in Novi, MI. MCFC is a furry, or anthropomorphics, convention, which means that it is run for the furry fandom with the intention of offering programming catered to members of the furry fandom, as well as offering a venue for dealers, costumers, and general socializing of said fandom.

MCFC is open to all who wish to attend, but there is an age restriction. Attendees must be 18 and over.

Shuto Con 2015

Shuto Con is Lansing’s Annual Anime Convention, coming to the Lansing Center March 20th-22nd, 2015. This convention will be a three day event held in Lansing, MI that focuses on Artists and the art of Interactive Cosplaying!

Starting Friday morning at the Lansing Center and Radisson Hotel Lansing our convention will run from 9AM until 6PM Sunday afternoon. We will have several large rooms for panels, over 50 unique artists as well as several dealers to get your latest anime goodies from, three anime viewing rooms, a huge video game room open during the entire convention, a table top gaming room, special guests, and much more!

Shuto Con also hopes to give you a truly unique experience by participating in our “Interactive Cosplay” experience. We highly encourage ALL our attendees to dress up as their favorite characters and act like them during the convention. A mock battle arena will be staged where you can “fight” it out with other cosplayers, or even take “bets” on who will win! Special points will be given out to those that participate the most, and at Closing Ceremonies on Sunday afternoon we will announce the Shuto Con “King and Queen of Cosplayers”! If you do not wish to participate, but would still like to capture those fond memories, we ask that your bring your cameras and/or video recorders and witness a viral hit in the making!
