International Marine City Comic Con 2018

The International Marine City Comic Con is an annual event in which fans of all ages gather to meet creators, experts, and each other with focuses on comic books and comic book culture, cartoons, superheroes, science fiction, fantasy, horror, movies, TV shows, anime, manga, steampunk, video games, and fantasy role playing games! The Marine City Con LLC. gathers creators, writers and artists from all over the country and is an event that is truly something for all fans of comics and pop culture!

Outdoor activities are free, indoor activities and special guests requires a $5.00 admission.

SAMMUS at MAGFest 2018 (Audio Interview) NSFW-ish

Enongo Lumumba-Kasongo is music producer, rapper, and a PHD student. Under the name SAMMUS, she raps about a myriad of topics ranging from black empowerment, video games, and mental health to name a few. Grand Rapids Comic Con 2017 Guest Review

Over the years, I’ve attended many conventions and events throughout Michigan. I’ve tackled all of the events by myself because being a one man band for convention coverage is the norm for me. I figured that would be the case for the 2017 Grand Rapids Comic Con too. However, a friend and supporter of MIGeekScene (by the name of Tiffany Ewigleben) reached out and offered to help me with the event. Since I enjoyed her review of the convention, from last year, I decided to take her up on the offer.
