Game of Thrones Season Seven Finale Viewing Party

Our Game of Thrones Party is back!! After a successful Season 7 Kickoff Party we just had to bring the LARPers, Cosplay & turkey legs back, and add some Trivia to the mix for an awesome Finale Party! RSVP in advance for your chance to win the best seats in the house. AND, every 20th person to enter the event will win a pair of 20 Monroe Live concert tickets *while supplies last*. Please note our floor is concrete, so bring something to sit on! Upgrades to our mezzanine seating will be available on the night of the show.

Door Time: 7pm
LARP Battle of the Houses: 7:30pm
Cosplay Costume Contest: 7:45pm (Anyone can enter – just come dressed in your best!)
Trivia: 8pm
Show: 9pm

Harry Potter in the Park Festival

In 1997 we learned of “The Boy who Lived”. Join us at Rogers Park in Sparta, Mi on Saturday, August 26th for our second annual event where we will be celebrating the return of school at Hogwarts and the 20th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The magic will begin at 3:30PM. Your ticket includes entry into the park where you will be given the wizarding experience of the summer. The ticket includes all on stage events including a close out performance by Tonks and The Aurors along with Blandford Nature Center’s owl presentation, Collison Petting Zoo with their live snakes, gnome tossing, house sorting, a horcrux hunt a costume parade, a magic show, and much more. Don’t forget to check out the Diagon Alley vendors.


SEPARATE TICKETS will be available for the following classes due to limited space HERBOLOGY and Quidditch Training with the Grand Valley State University Grindylows. We will be competing for House Points this year with several events including an Arthur Weasley Rubber Duck Race. Ducks will be available for purchase through eventbrite with ticket and at the gate. Points will also be awarded for donations to the “Free Dobby to Help the Homeless” sock drive and a “Defense Against the Dark Arts” Lupin’s Dog Toy collection for our Fantastic Beast companion and shelter dogs in celebration of National Dog Day which is also August 26th.
Cosplay and costumes are welcomed and points will be given for house representation.

A Night of Magic and Muggles

Experience the best of Hogwarts, Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade in an evening of food, fun, and festivities! Enjoy magical activities, make and takes, and special guests. Prizes will be awarded for trivia and the best costume in several categories.

This event is for wizards and muggles 18 and older.

Mackinaw City Renaissance Festival 2017

Come enjoy the magic of a renaissance festival right in the heart of the Mackinaw Crossing. Pay $1 to arrest your friends and family courtesy of The Jail. Enjoy The witchy woman’s booth, Lady Brook’s tarot and tea leaf readings, and the enchanted mermaid of the fountain. Fun for all ages!! Please dress up and share in this magical event!!

Grand Rapids Mini Maker Faire 2017

The 4th Annual Grand Rapids Mini Maker Faire is back on August 19 & 20, 2017 at the Grand Rapids Public Museum and Grand Valley State University’s John C. Kennedy Hall of Engineering. Maker Faire combines the traditional science fair with innovation and engineering capitalizing on the Maker movement for something entirely new. The Faire will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 19 and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, August 20.

Featuring both established and emerging local makers, the Grand Rapids Mini Maker Faire is a family-friendly celebration featuring robotics, DIY science and technology, sustainability and alternative energy, bicycles, unique hand-made crafts, local food and educational installations. Visitors will see installations from the GR Makers, the Geek Group and other local West Michigan inventors, innovators and tinkerers.
