Final Haven LARP Event #3 2016

Final Haven is a flourishing LARP which was developed, tested, and currently operates out of the Midwestern United States.

The Final Haven world is a post-apocalyptic medieval fantasy realm which blends the intrigue, ingenuity, and diverse backgrounds of its players to solve physical and mental challenges.

We believe that teamwork, combat, puzzle solving, and of course a sense of humor, blend to form an exciting and dynamic environment for players and GMs alike.

Character Creation is easy and the rules system has been simplified greatly from many other LARP experiences to help new players integrate quickly. Additionally, many of our players find that the rapid early advancement system in our game helps them become quickly involved in the long-term story arcs, and in the political aspects of the game.

Michigan Pirate Festival 2016

Join us for our 10th pirate fest!
Weekend festival – August 13th & 14th, 11am-6pm

Loutit District Library (LDL) and Harbor Island will be the port of swashbuckling, piratical fun for the whole family as the 10th Annual Michigan Pirate Festival invades Grand Haven, August 8-14, 2016.

With the theme, “Pirates through the Ages,” pirate re-enactors from historical to fantasy personas come from around Michigan and the Mid-West to entertain everyone from young powder monkeys to seasoned buccaneers.

The pillaging’ and plundering’ begins August 8 at 9 a.m. when LDL opens. Kids are invited to pick up a treasure map from the chest located at the Library’s Youth Services Area. This treasure map will lead young pirates and their families around downtown Grand Haven in search of fortune.

Harbor Island is where the pirates set-up for the weekend beginning Saturday, August 13 and Sunday, August 14 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Pirate merchants, stages, cannons, encampments and more are brought in to make any pirate feel at home. Minstrels wander and entertainers perform against this backdrop that is sure to appeal to the pirate in you.
