A pop culture convention who’s aim is to raise funds for make-a-wish and create happiness and smiles.
This convention was started by a few friends who love to bring smiles to kids and kids at heart through the power of cosplay. What better way to help others, especially children, by putting on a comic convention to solely benefit children going through hard times! Come and join us April 2020 for an amazing convention full of incredible guests, musical talent, comic book artists, and some of this countries best cosplayers, and help us raise funds for awesome foundations!
Motor City Nightmares presents Michigan’s premiere Horror Convention based out of Novi, Michigan! Fans will be able to meet some of the biggest icons in horror history, while shopping around for some of the newest or rarest classic horror toys, t-shirts, posters, displays, dvds, masks and other assorted goodies. Film Festival Movie premieres and screenings will be included with every show, as well as special celebrity panels, and so much more.
Marmalade Dog is a gaming convention held each year on the campus of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. The largest in SW Michigan, this gaming convention features role-playing games, miniature wargames, card games, board games and many other events.
Fandom Fest is a free event sponsored by a public multi-library collaboration dedicated to bringing the fan convention experience to Southwest Michigan. Our goal is to welcome fans of all popular culture art forms to join us for a day of celebration. We offer many attractions from guest speakers and panels, video and tabletop games, to cosplay contests, and mini hobby events. Vendors and exhibitors are on hand with a variety of popular culture selections . We also have multiple food trucks through the day and a bar opening at 3:00 with a variety of local beers and wines.

The Avondale Comicon is the newest convention to land in SE Michigan. This new NON PROFIT con promises not only to bring you some of the best local artists and crafters, but amazing toy, comic ,and anime vendors!! It also hosts card, board and video game events! All proceeds go straight back to Avondale School students and teachers to fund amazing activities, programs and scholarships! It has as admission of only $5 with children 5 and under free. What better way to spend a Saturday in March!

Penguicon is a not-for-profit, community-run convention for open source software, science fiction, music, gaming, DIY, and more. Panel topics include technology, science, eco/green, literature, costuming, food, gaming (board and video), webcomics, action/adventure, music, film, anime and an after dark event. .This is a big hang out for ALL areas of the geek/nerd community. What better way to meet people who wave the geek/nerd flag? People come to Penguicon to learn about securing their network, and also how to make their own cheese. They learn how to create chiptunes on their gameboy, and come listen to sci-fi. There is also the Maker Market which is like a dealer room except they don’t accept commodities, only thing’s people have designed themselves. If you need a place to recharge, check out the con suite which has free soda and food all week long.
Penguicon is a convention tailored mainly for adults. While kids are welcome, there are no special passes or events for them. Please keep that in mind.
