DtV Lite 2018

Join the Down the Vent crew for their 5th year of events! This April we are bringing you DTV Lite, a board game convention focused on bringing everyone together to raise money for a good cause! A badge will grant you access to check out any of the games from our library for open play, and the option to sign up for events. We will not be bringing our entire library to this event (it’s Lite for a reason), so please make sure to let us know if there is a specific game you are looking to try!

Badges are only $15 (or $10 if you pre-register) and allows entrance for the entire day. We will also have a Family Pass available during pre-registration only for a cost of $25. The Family Pass includes badges for two adults and two children.

And as usual, all profits will be donated to our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital!! So grab a friend or ten and join us for a day of gaming, charity, and fun!

CARPS April Event 2018

Central Action Role-Playing Society
We are a high-fantasy LARP (Live Action Role-Playing) group that is currently based in Southeast Michigan. You may already be familiar with tabletop role-playing games (RPGs) such as Dungeons and Dragons or White Wolf products. If you are, the difference between an RPG and a LARP is that RPGs consist of half a dozen or so players sitting around a kitchen table with dice and a single Game Master, whereas a LARP is a cross between an elaborate theatre production, live combat, and a hike in the woods. LARPs such as ours have costuming, boffer weapons, and dozens of players whose actions influence not only what you can accomplish but the course of an entire fantasy world. If you aren’t, well, them’s the basics.

Greetings to all new and prospective players! As always, your first event is free, with a free rewrite should you decide you would rather play a different sort of character or have a different set of skills. (You must be 18 to play.)

2d6 at Shuto Con 2018 (NSFW)

I finally had the opportunity to do a proper interview with nerdcore rap duo, 2d6. Boy, did I regret it. If I wasn’t contractually obligated and held at gunpoint, I would’ve never released this. DJ Stuck Down a Mineshaft with a Broken Leg is a horrible reprobate while Cliff B is pretty cool. All kidding aside, I had a lot of fun talking with these two again. We dove into their albums, their hilarious music videos, their great song titles, video games, pro wrestling, and a Barenaked Ladies podcast. A lot of insults were thrown back and forth in this mad train wreck of an interview.
