Costume Contest
Super Smash Bros tournament
DJ, Bands, and vintage toys!

Come see Mario, Zelda and a number of other characters and scenes ….. all Nintendo inspired art! Cosplay is also encouraged for our costume contest (with a panel of judges). 3-4 gaming stations will be in order including a Super Smash Bros. tournament! There will be a prize for both the costume contest and SSB tournament.

DJ Dos Lopez will be in the house spinning poppy tunes and bands for the later portion of the night are to be announced!

Grand Rapids Toy & Comic Show December 2017

Vendors will gather together and provide many hard to find and wonderfully displayable collectables worth bragging about to your friends. Gather everyone you know for this one since it will be a doozy!

Kalamazoo Circus Maximus Toy Show Fall 2017

The Circus Maximus Toy Show is held twice a year in the Spring and Fall at the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds. Conveniently situated halfway between Detroit and Chicago, or Grand Rapids and South Bend, IN. Nearly 50,000 square feet of toys from over 200 vendors around the country will be here for you to explore. You will find your favorite childhood toys including but not limited to; Japanese pressed tin litho, cast iron banks, steel pedal cars, Smith Miller & Tonka trucks, old robots and science fiction items, battery operated toys, cap guns, western toys, and more. For the younger collectors, there is a lot to see from Disney, Star Trek, Star Wars, G I Joe, slot cars, movie, TV and sport memorabilia, and action figures of all kinds, You will also find antique pedal cars and tractors along with spare parts.

Early Buyers / Floor Rights:
$30.00 per person gets you
in the show Friday from 4 – 8 PM
and Saturday morning at 7 AM

Public Show Hours are:
Saturday, 9 AM to 2 PM

Farewell To Fall – A Steampunk Thanksgiving Celebration

What does a Steampunk Turkey say? Goggle. Goggle.

We want to get together like the old days on the night before Thanksgiving for a Steampunk meetup. Come out to Patrick J’s to celebrate the start of the Holiday Season!

Patrick J’s is an Irish Pub in Berkley on 12 Mile Rd, with lots of free parking for your airship on the street and in the back. Good food! Good drinks! Good company! It’s 21 and over after 9 pm (or so).

Grand Rapids Comic Con 2017 Guest Review

Over the years, I’ve attended many conventions and events throughout Michigan. I’ve tackled all of the events by myself because being a one man band for convention coverage is the norm for me. I figured that would be the case for the 2017 Grand Rapids Comic Con too. However, a friend and supporter of MIGeekScene (by the name of Tiffany Ewigleben) reached out and offered to help me with the event. Since I enjoyed her review of the convention, from last year, I decided to take her up on the offer.
